The great thing about an Autograph Lodge Holiday is that there are no timescales to worry about, no meal times to plan your day around and no-one to tell you what to do.

Do as much or as little as you want, when you want at a pace to suit you! If you need a little inspiration we've put together a sample itinerary to wet your appetite!

Day One - Simply relax:

We all lead busy lives and have less free time, so on your first day just enjoy all the creature comforts of your luxury lodge; take time out for you, slow down to a quieter pace of life and chill into the Autograph mood! Unwind in your own private hot tub, sip a glass of champagne, order a takeaway, switch on the TV and curl up in front of the fire to watch a movie or plan your activities and excursions for the days ahead! You've got all time in the world.

Day Two - Get active:

Hire a bike, pack a picnic and head off down narrow country lanes, explore quaint villages, meet the locals and take in the fresh country air. If you prefer to explore on foot, there are great walking routes direct from your lodge. Meander down marked bridleways that open up to picture postcard scenery and lead you to quaint local country stores and bustling farmers' markets.

Further a field but still within easy reach you'll find plenty of places of historic interest; from medieval castles, stately homes and gardens, through to sites of national importance filled with the tales of days gone by. There's plenty of recommendations in your lodge for the best places to visit during your stay and don't forget to look through our visitors books for great ideas and endorsements.

Day Three - Feel local:

Only a short distance from each of our Autograph locations, you'll find a local pub serving delicious food and drink in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere… and not forgetting at great value too! Feel part of the local community and enjoy life in the slow lane as you tuck into home-grown tasty cuisine amidst the gentle buzz of fellow customers.

Head back to your lodge, sit and relax on your private deck, take another dip into your hot tub, or book yourself a pampering treatment on-site or nearby - the choice is yours. One thing is for sure, you'll return from your Autograph break feeling refreshed and revived wondering just how long it will be before your next countryside escape!
